The Daniel Owen Centre

The Daniel Owen Community Centre is where the VOD Record Fairs started back in 2006, Mold is home to many independent shops with a Saturday street market that dates back to medieval times and today and is still the biggest and the best market in North Wales and the Borderlands with over 70 stalls in the High Street and through to Daniel Owen Square.

Excellent road connections (its just off the A55) and a bus station, there is also the option of the Buckley stop on the Wrexham - Bidston trainline with a short bus ride to Mold. Reasonably priced car parks are dotted around the Town which has a selection of Cafes, Restaurants and Bars (there are two Micro pubs within yards of the venue). The Daniel Owen Community Centre with its own onsite cafe.serves light refreshments, breakfast rolls, all day breakfasts and lunchtime meals and faces on to the Daniel Owen Square which is located in the centre of the Town .The room is on the ground floor and is light and airy with enough space for an excellent selection of carefully curated stalls offering music across all genres and formats.

Our Record Shop will also be open on the day of the Fairs and can be found on New Street, literally a 1-2 minute walk from the venue.

There are many fine old buildings along the High Street, Bailey Hill Motte at the top of town just past the notable historic building that is the 15th-century church which is renowned for its magnificent animal fresco. It is also a good base from which to explore the beautiful Vale of Clwyd and the Clwydian Range as well as the North Wales coast.
